A 'Star Trek' fanatic may have to give up the home he has turned into a life-sized replica of the Starship Voyager following a divorce, thesun.co.uk reports.
Tony Alleyne split from his wife in 1994 and since then has been living in the home they shared during their marriage.
During this time he has collected numerous gadgets, eventually turning his flat into a replica of the iconic spacecraft; replete with a computerised flight deck, flashing lights and a version of the transporter devices.
Alleyne's hard work may be about to unravel, however; as his wife Georgina has now informed him that she wishes to sell the flat - meaning all the gadgets will have to go, or be relocated somewhere else. If the gadgets are moved, Alleyne has claimed it could be at a cost of £100,000, despite it costing just £4,000 originally when he did all the work himself.
As yet Alleyne has not confirmed whether he will take on professional divorce solicitors to help him fight the case and keep the home he's been building for nearly two decades.
Speaking to Mail Online about the news, Alleyne explained: "To say I'm gutted is an understatement. It's my life's work - and it looks like it's going into a skip. I admit there were tears.
"Building this has been like a dream. I had a vision and I'm really amazed at what I managed to achieve with just hard work. Some people might think I'm a bit of a sad individual, but I'm not, I'm just really into Star Trek - it's my only vice."
