Muna Saleem Completes the London Marathon

This year we were immensely proud to have a member of the Crisp & Co team taking on the formidable task of running the London Marathon – and formidable it was!

Our Associate Solicitor Muna Saleem was entered into the ballot by her sister, and found out that she had secured a place to run in the London Marathon on the 23rd of April 2017. Having never taken on a challenge quite like it, Muna began many months of gruelling training, somehow managing to fit the intensive marathon efforts around her work at Crisp & Co and looking after her family.

We are very pleased to say that completed the marathon, demonstrating incredible endurance and determination. After taking a tumble at mile 9, she injured her knee and hand and unfortunately had to duck out to get medical help, which cost her 30-40 minutes out of the race while the medics treated her. Remarkably, Muna found the strength to push through after this setback and went on to complete the marathon in 7 hours.

Muna has done an amazing job and we all want to congratulate her for doing so well. And here she is, pictured below with her medal!

Muna chose to run the Marathon to raise money for Barnardo’s, one of the UK’s leading chaMuna Saleem in a tracksuit with a marathon medal around her neckrites. Every year, Barnardo’s works with over 248,000 children, young people, parents and carers, carrying out invaluable work for children including counselling for children who have been abused, adoption services, vocational training & disability inclusion groups.

So far, Muna has raised over £750 for this wonderful cause. If you would like to donate, please click here to visit Muna’s JustGiving page.
